Eagles lose nail biter vs. Vikings
The King's University Eagles are returning home after taking the first game versus the Univeristy of Alberta - Augustana Vikings. The Eagles, are looking to continue their 3 game winning streak, while the Vikings are looking to to get their first one of the semester.
In the first set, the Vikings came out firing, looking to right off last night's match. The Eagles, early on were stunned, but picked their game up and were able to climb their way back. In the end, the Viking's lead was to large to fully overcome as the Vikings took the set, 25-20.
In the second set, the Eagles turned the tables as they came out blazing. It looked as everything they ran was working. The Vikings tried to hang on to the set, but the Eagles were just to hot to handle as they took the set 25-22, and tie up the game 1 set to 1.
In the third set, both teams looked to gain an advantage over the other, battling for each point. The Eagles were able to go on a run to hold onto the lead, but the Vikings were able to come back late to steal the third 26-24.
In the fourth set, the Vikings looked to finish off the game, but Eagles did not quit trailing all set long, to come back late to take the set 25-21.
In the final set, neither team looked to let go of the game as both teams fought tooth and nail for each point. But in the end, the Vikings were able to cross the finish line first, as they took the set 15-12, and the match 3 sets to 2.
The Eagles will be looking to get back into the win column as they take on the Keyano College Huskies, at home, January 31 @ 8pm.
