Tough loss for the Vikings against the Eagles
The visiting Kings Eagles faces off against the hometown Augustana Vikings.
Vikings were hyped from their women's teams and went into the game strong. After the Eagles maintained the lead for most of the first set, Associate Coach Smeaton called a timeout and game the team a pep talk.
Vikings #13 McDonald made a jump attack kill scoring the point for his team making the score 20-20. With the score 21-23, a timeout was called, giving both teams a chance to regroup. The first set finishes with a score of 25-23 for Eagles.
The second set had great players from both sides, but it finished with a score of 25-19 for Vikings. The third set finished with a score of 25-23 for Eagles.
With a game score of 2 sets to 1, the game went into a 4th set. Eagles #5 Veldman made a jump attack kill scoring a point for his team. The final score was 25-15 for the Eagles.
The Eagles and their visiting fans cheered as the last point was played ensuring their win of 3 sets to 1.
