Medicine Hat College hosted the Briercrest Clippers in an afternoon match at the Snake Pit. The Rattlers were Hoping to avenge a 5 set loss from the night before. The Clippers however, had other plans. Up 7-3 early Briercrest capitalized on Medicine Hat mistakes and errors. This happened every time the Rattlers gained any momentum it was crushed by mistakes. Medicine Hat mounted a small comeback attempt and closed the gap. This was all that Medicine Hat could muster as the Clippers closed out the set 25-17.
The Second set started more even with both teams trading side-outs and serves. Briercrest's power advantage was still evident early in the set. Even with this power they were not able to gain a definitive advantage. Both squads stayed in the game with offence and not great defense. Both coaches were upset in this set about the consistency of calls. With one shouting out "well how do we set then." With the set tied at 18 Briercrest took a 2 point lead and used this to close out the game 25-22.
The third set was an absolute blowout. MHC was hoping to extend the match but Briercrest was not having any of it. From start to end the Clippers controlled the match and dominated the Rattler Defense. Errors again killed the Rattler Flow and left the Clippers with open hitting lanes putting the ball on the floor. This was the theme for the set as the Clippers handled the Rattlers easily 25-13.
