Medicine Hat College Rattlers vs Keyano College Huskies – Semifinal
Game 6
Oct. 25, 2025 – The Medicine Hat College Rattlers and Keyano College Huskies clashed in a high-stakes ACAC men's semifinal marked by intensity and physicality from the opening whistle. Keyano generated strong early pressure, pushing aggressively into the attacking third, but the Rattlers held their ground with disciplined defensive structure. Medicine Hat's back line disrupted multiple early chances before shifting the momentum in their favour. The breakthrough came in the 19th minute when #9 Aleksa Bijelic (first year, Moose Jaw, Sask.) struck first for the Rattlers, finishing off a well-timed setup from #24 Kylan Wol-Harden (first year, Regina, Sask.) to give Medicine Hat the 1–0 lead. As the half progressed, tensions rose with fouls piling up on both ends of the pitch, eventually resulting in a yellow card, but the Rattlers carried their one-goal advantage into the break.
Medicine Hat came out of halftime firing, quickly doubling their lead when #13 De'Shaunt Glinas-Cato (third year, Regina, Sask.) found the back of the net early in the second half. The Rattlers continued to dictate play, controlling possession and frustrating the Huskies' attempts to generate sustained attacks. In the 61st minute, Bijelic delivered again — this time with a powerful strike from outside the box — securing his second goal of the match and giving Medicine Hat a commanding 3–0 cushion.
Keyano refused to back down, pressing hard in search of a comeback. A dangerous chance midway through the half nearly shifted momentum, but Glinas-Cato — showing impact at both ends — made a crucial defensive play to keep the clean sheet intact. Despite multiple late pushes from the Huskies, Rattlers goalkeeper #1 Noah Scolly (third year, Medicine Hat, Alta.) remained steady, turning aside every attempt that came his way.
With a dominant performance on both sides of the ball, Medicine Hat sealed a convincing 3–0 victory, punching their ticket to the ACAC championship final. The Huskies' season comes to a close after a strong campaign, while the Rattlers move forward with confidence and momentum.
