CALGARY, ALTA., (Oct. 2, 2022) - Better late than never.

Jolly Kopoanomo scored in the final minute of play to help his SAIT Trojans men's soccer team salvage a 1-1 draw with the visiting Red Deer Polytechnic Kings in their Sunday afternoon Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) contest played at Cohos Commons Field.

The Trojans see their South Division-leading record move to 5-0-1, while the Kings jump to 2-1-3 on the year.

Sunday's game was scoreless for 87 minutes before Red Deer's Ajdin Sarcevic broke the deadlock with his fifth goal of the campaign.

Kopoanomo's first of the season came three minutes later to even the score and give each team a point.

Red Deer's Adan Sanchez and Kopoanomo were named Players of the Game for their respective teams.

SAIT returns to action next weekend with a pair of games - the first Saturday afternoon on the road against the Lethbridge College Kodiaks, the second at home when they will welcome Medicine Hat College.
