Ben Knight Honoured as 2019-20 ACAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Year Sponsored by Alberta Soccer

Edmonton, AB (Oct. 24th, 2019) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Ben Knight of the Lethbridge College Kodiaks men's soccer program has been selected as the 2019-20 ACAC South Men's Player of the Year and Overall Men's Player of the Year. 

Making it the second year in a row, Ben has been selected onto the ACAC All-Conference squad in his position. His soccer IQ is at the highest of levels and it shows in how he leads the Kodiaks every time they compete. He is a second-year captain. He is leading the league in assists and is 5th in the league with shots on goal. 

"Ben is a true leader that lets his play do the talking," says Head Coach Sean Carey. "His composure and vision on the field are unmatched in our league and he's always a constant threat to open up defences!"

"Ben's experience and willingness to do what it takes to lead his team shows every match. He is a true Kodiaks student-athlete," says Todd Caughlin, Manager of Kodiaks Athletics. "Congratulations Ben on such an amazing honour!" 

Ben Knight is a 3rd year General Studies student-athlete hailing originally from Manchester, UK.

This prestigious award was presented to Ben at the 2019 ACAC Men's ACAC Soccer Championship held on Oct. 24th at NAIT.
