Huskies opened the scoring just a little over three minutes into the game with rookie Karl Tronche (College Prep, Paris France) beating Thunder goalie Scott Hornbeck (2nd year, Bachelor of Arts, Edmonton Alberta) with a lob shot from 19 yards out.
Halfway through the opening half, Thunder ties the game at 1-1 with a three-on-two scenario with Ahmed Abubaker (2nd year, Bachelor of Arts, Edmonton Alberta) scoring. Assist goes to Kenny Johnson (4th year, Bachelor of Education, Edmonton Alberta).
Thunder go up 2-1 with Armaan Bhinder (3rd year, Bachelor of Science, Edmonton Alberta) taking a loose ball off a direct kick for the score.
Seconds into added time, the Keyano Huskies defense literally gives the ball to the Thunder with Victor Majome (1st year, Open Studies, Montreal Quebec) walking in for the score to go up 3-0 at halftime.
In a goalmouth scramble, Thunder make it 4-1 at 61 minutes with Isaac Fota (5th year, Bachelor of Arts, Kalemie Vyura, the Democratic Republic of the Congo) connecting with the ball while falling down.
Six minutes later Daniel Mujija (2nd year, Bachelor of Arts, Edmonton Alberta) follows up on a rebound to make it 5-1 Thunder.
Thunder make it 6-1 on a penalty kick by Abubaker with his second goal.
The Home Hardware & Boston Pizza Player of the Game for the Huskies was Ryken Jeffels (1st year, Engineering, Fort McMurray, Alberta). Thunder POG honours went to Majome.
Huskies now sport a record of 2 wins, 2 losses 2 ties with 11 goals for and 8 goals against.
