Broncos Spoil Lions Home Opener

A loud Lions crowd was not enough to propel Ambrose to a victory tonight.  Right off the start, Olds took advantage of a couple miscues by the Lions, scoring within the first 40 seconds to take an early 1-0 lead.  Even with a little bit of controversy (a goal ruled off after initially being called a good goal), the Olds College Broncos would not look back from their blistering start.

A checky chip shot by #11 Fabian Gromenida in the 16th minute led to the Broncos taking a 2-0 lead, which Olds would take into halftime.  Matthew Stacey, would come up with save after save, giving his Lions teammates a chance to stay in the game, but tonight it wasn't meant to be.  Goals by Fabian Gromenida and Oli Abera would result in another 4-0 win for the Broncos.

Players of the Game were both #8's, Amiel Cabayao and Abu Bangura for Ambrose and Olds respectively.
