Kings defeat Rustlers 5-0

The Red Deer Kings defeated the Lakeland Rustlers 5-0 Saturday afternoon in Lloydminster. 

The teams went back and forth in the opening minutes of the game, playing physical and having chances to score. The Kings would be the first to score on a goal by William Arciniegas in the 22nd minute. Minutes later, the Kings would double their lead on a goal by Pedro Humberto in the 28th minute. The Kings would add one more before the end of the first half, with a goal by Gabriel Queiroz in the 38th minute, giving them the 3-0 lead. 

The physical play continued in the second half, with members of both teams being given yellow cards. The Kings extended their lead with goals by Matheus Alves and a second of the game by Pedro Humberto in the 51st and 69th minutes. The Rustlers had several good scoring opportunities but were unable to find the back of the net, and the Kings came away with the 5-0 win.

Player of the game for the rustlers was #20, Yamaka Murray. Player of the game for the Kings was #18, Pedro Humberto.
