#1 SAIT defeats host Rattlers 5-1

On a cool, windy afternoon, the National #1 ranked SAIT Trojans travelled down highway #1 for a matchup against the Medicine Hat College Rattlers.  The Trojans opened the scoring in the fifth minute and by the time the game was in the 24th minute Joseph Lambele had staked the Trojans to a 3-0 lead.  The two teams continued to battle each other and the elements and went in to halftime with the same 3-0 scoreline.  A goal in the 67th minute by Colton Pacheco gave the Rattlers some life as the deficit was cut to 3-1.  Moments later, Rafael Almeida had a chance in close for Medicine Hat but pushed it over the bar.  Two late goals by SAIT saw them earn a well deserved 5-1 victory.  The player of the game for the Trojans was #10 Joseph Lambele who had 3 goals.  Rafael Almeida won the honour for the Rattlers.  With the win, the Trojans are now 5-0-1 on the season.  The Rattlers are 3-2-2.
