Kodiaks defeat Rustlers 2-1

The Lethbridge Kodiaks defeated the Lakeland Rustlers 2-1 Saturday afternoon in Lloydminster.

Both teams had chances to score in the first half, but were never able to capitalize on their chances and it looked like the two teams would head into the half tied at 0.  The Rustlers Mackenzie Longpre was able to score as the first half was coming to a close to give them a 1-0 lead heading into the half.  In the second half, the Rustlers had chances to extend their lead, but were not able to score.  They held the lead until the 80th minute, when Kodiaks Tyler Bolen tied the game at one.  Then, in the 89th minute, the Kodiaks Nathan Burton scored, to give the Kodiaks the 2-1 win.

Player of the Game for the Rustlers was #25, Keilan Hozempa.  Player of the Game for the Kodiaks was #11, Nathan Burton.
