CALGARY, ALTA., (Sept. 16, 2018) — The SAIT Trojans men's soccer team moved to 4-0 on the season, but head coach Connor Brady was disappointed in his team's start on Sunday.
After a scoreless first half, the Trojans scored four in the second half as they beat the Red Deer College Kings 4-0 in their Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) contest played at SAIT's Cohos Commons Field.
"To be honest, I think we were poor in the first half," Brady said following the game. "We came out slow, we came out sluggish. Our press wasn't working for us, our work ethic off the ball wasn't there for us. . . At halftime, we were able to sort it out. When we work hard, things tend to go our way a little more."
With the loss, the Kings fell to 1-1-1.
Armando Garcia scored two goals to lead the Trojans, while Johnny Hutchinson was given credit for a Kings' own goal and Bernardo Rojas added a late goal to cement the win.
