Three- time defending Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) men's soccer champion Keyano Huskies opened the 2018-2019 ACAC regular season at Shell Place's SMS Equipment Stadium with a 2-2 tie against the visiting NAIT Ooks from Edmonton.
Ricardo Bernal and Amel Bajric scored for the Huskies in the first half at 6:47 and 41:41 respectively to take a 2-1 lead into the locker room with Ooks' Chris Gakona scoring at 14:23.
The lone goal in the second half came off of the foot of Ooks' Matthew McLean at 58:48.
Huskies had 33 shots on net while Ooks replied with 39.
Huskies Player of the Game was Eduardo Filho while David Doe had the nod for the Ooks.
