Central Division Futsal Competition

The top two teams in the Central Division for men's futsal faced off against each other again on February 19, 2022, at the Rick Down Athletic Centre at Prairie College in Three Hills, AB. Both teams were seeking a win to help secure a chance to make it to the Championship weekend in March. 

The teams were ready to go from the start of the first half. This game was filled with quality ball control and excellent team play. After 25 minutes, it was Olds who had taken the lead, 2-1, with goals from Bangura and Stebanuk. SAIT's Kopoanomo got the only goal for the Trojans in the first half. 

The second half continued to be a hard fought battle for both teams. The physicality increased with the tight defensive play from both teams. It was SAIT's Reinosa who eventually tied up the match near the end of the second half. Neither team would break the tie and ultimately it would end in a 2-2 draw. SAIT's Gonazalez and Olds' Stebanuk who were awarded the player's of the game.
