Ooks Soar Above Clippers in Game Two

The NAIT Ooks came out flying on Saturday night against the Briercrest Clippers. Saturday night was game two of the three-game series. Down by one, the Ooks were ready to hit the gas and bring home the win to extend the series. They defeat the Clippers 4-2.
For the second game in a row, NAIT took an early penalty, but Briercrest capitalized on it this time. Cole Stevenson scored on the power play to give them the one-goal lead. Minutes later on, the power play again, Halen Cordoni gave Briercrest the early two-goal lead. NAIT responded with a delayed penalty and an extra attacker though cutting the deficit in half with a goal from Nicholas Shumlannski.

The second period quieted down as both teams settled into the game. The back and forth kept up, but this period the defense and goaltenders were up for it, stopping everything thrown at them.

Early into the third period, NAIT got the equalizer they needed, though with a goal by Eric Lacombe to tie the game up at two. Shortly after, NAIT got the go-ahead goal from Tyler Robertson on the power play. With just over six minutes left, the Ooks got an insurance goal putting them up by two as Dylan Steward potted home the loose puck.
