After a tight first 40 minutes, the NAIT Ooks scored three goals in the third period to pick up two points on the road against the Portage College Voyageurs. The first period was a scoreless affair with NAIT outshooting Portage 12-4 and Voyageurs goalie Taryn Kotchorek making a number of huge stops.
 
In the second period, Kaleb Bell got the Voyageurs on the board first with a shot that deflected off of a defender. NAIT answered back with two of their own, including one from Shane Fraser.
 
The Ooks wore down the Voyageurs with high-pressure play in the third and were able to score three more in the final frame to put the game out of reach.
 
Final score 5-1. Shots 43-19.
