Jordan Wood Honoured as the 2015-16 ACAC Men’s Hockey Playoff Most Valuable Player
The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference is proud to announce that Jordan Wood of the NAIT Ooks has been selected as the ACAC Men's Hockey Playoff Most Valuable Player as he was instrumental in the NAIT Ooks capturing the 2015-2016 ACAC Men's Hockey Conference Championship.
The Ooks Men's Hockey team won the gold medal this past weekend with a two game sweep of the Augustana Vikings in the best-of-3 Finals. The Ooks finished the season with a perfect 36-0 record. Jordan assisted on NAIT's final two goals in the 4-3 OT win Friday in game #1 and then added another two points in Saturday's series finale including scoring the winning goal.
"Jordan epitomizes all of the NAIT Hockey Programs core values on a daily basis. He is the consummate teammate who always has a team first attitude," said head coach Mike Gabinet. "Jordan elevated his play in the playoffs and was a catalyst for relentless pursuit of victory." Jordan is a 5th year Emergency Management student from Surrey, BC.
