Lakeland's men's basketball team took care of business in the last two weeks in the last few weeks before the postseason.
The squad hosted Ambrose, the 2023 Championship hosts, with a chance to clinch a bye to the tournament. In the opening quarter, the Rustlers immediately put the Lions on their heels to gain a 28-13 lead. Every successive quarter went the hosts way in a 96-67 win.
Guilherme Lacerda Ferreira (14 points) and Abdul Al-Tamimi (25 points) were the POG's.
With the win, Lakeland secures 2nd place in the North Division. They finish the campaign off Saturday against Lethbridge.
