The Keyano Huskies Men's Basketball team defended their home turf for the second time in as many days, rolling to a 78-56 win against the visiting Lakeland Rustlers Saturday at the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre in Fort McMurray, Alta.
It was the Rustlers jumping out to a 14-13 lead after one quarter, but the Huskies responded with a 24-18 second quarter to take a five-point lead into the break.
In the third quarter, the Huskies extended their lead by eight points to make it 53-40, and then turned on the jets in the fourth quarter with 25 points to the Rustlers' 16.
DJ Haynes and Sean-Michael Clancey each had 18 points to lead the Huskies while 10-point efforts from Omeechi Williams and Taliik Ross also featured.
Johnny Mims led his side with 17 points while Michael Shelast and De'Andre Anderson each turned in eight-point efforts.
Haynes and Shaquai Manswell each earned Player of the Game honours for their respective sides.
