However, it did not take long for the Kodiaks to show what they are made of. The Kodiaks took advantage of the breakaway as Brock Dewsbery and Jaxon Davison contributed steals and points of their own.

The Kodiaks went on a 5-0 run with a minute remaining in the quarter. Timothy McMahon capitalized a huge three pointer to give the Kodiaks a 22-10 lead. The Kodiaks picked up where they left off with a 7-0 run to start the second quarter. Dewsbery and Bohne kept the offense going for Lethbridge. Olds struggled on the offensive end only putting up four points in the first six minutes of the second quarter. The Kodiaks run up the score and led by 19 points which led the starting line up to sit down and give the younger players a chance.

Lethbridge made some tweaks to their lineup that led into the Broncos cutting down the lead, The Kodiaks kept their composure and led at the halftime 43-30. The third quarter was about the same with Lethbridge leading the charge. The Broncos fought off some steam but Lethbridge remained stronger in the offensive side. The score was 69-54 at the end of the third quarter.

The last quarter was intended for keeping composure for the Kodiaks. The Broncos kept their momentum and played more aggressively than before. Both Kodiaks and Broncos were basket for basket as it was more of a defensive quarter. The Kodiaks remained stronger in the offensive side as they kept up their lead and prevented any sort of comeback from the Broncos. The Kodiaks would take the contest 89-73.
