Lakeland Rustlers take a win against the Visiting King's Eagles
It was a win for the Lakeland Rustlers tonight agaisnt the visting King's University Eagles with the final score of 98-75. The Eagles competed with the Rustlers as they were back and forth in the first quarter. Both teams were able to shoot well off the three point line to start the game. The Eagle pulled ahead by 6 points in the first quater, ending it 21-27. The Rustlers battled back with strong takes to the rim and great shooting off the foul line. Number 5 Rashon Russell help the Rustlers chipped away at the Eagles lead in the second scoring 9 point just. The Eagle's found themselves in foul trouble midway through the second which ended up hindering their 6 point lead. Going into the second half the Rustlers lead 48-38. An energetic Rustlers team came out of half hitting 5 3's in the third quarter alone. This helped the Rustlers out score the Kings by 20 points. The thrid quarter score was 78-52 for the Rustlers. Going into the fourth a tired King's team managed to fight back, they were able to out score i the fourth. In the end the thrid quarter proved to being the turing point and sealed a win for the Rustler with the final score of 98-75. Player of the game included; Lakeland Rustler's #4 Akeem Philips with 11 'points and for the visiting Kings Eagles #12 Joshua Hamilton their leading scorer with 19 points. The high score for the Rustlers was #5 Rashon Russell with 28 points.
