Trojans over Kings in Calgary

Calgary, AB - The 28 points from Kings' guard Khurram Sultan weren't quite enough against the number one ranked men's basketball team in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), and the SAIT Trojans downed the visiting Kings 113-86.

The undefeated Trojans led 54-34 at the half. The Red Deer College Kings scored 52 points in the second half but dropped a 113-86 road decision. 

Along with Sultan's 28 points, the Open Studies student-athlete from Edmonton added 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 rebounds while hitting 7-of-10 from behind the three-point arc. Spencer Klassen finished with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. Malik Smith added 14 points, Anthony Harper accumulated 11 and Eric Bakker had 8.

The Kings sank 9 out of 21 of their three-point attempts (42.9%). 

John Smith led the way for the Trojans with 29 points. 

On Saturday, November 10, the RDC Kings (3-2) will compete against the Medicine Hat College Rattlers (4-1) at 5:00 p.m. at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.
