Rustlers defeat Eagles 89-47

The Lakeland Rustlers defeated the King's Eagles 89-47 on the second night of the regular season.  The Rustlers led early on in the game and never looked back.  The Rustlers looked to push the ball, building a 28-14 lead after one quarter.  In the second quarter, the Eagles struggled with the defensive pressure the Rustlers applied, turning the ball over many times.  The Rustlers looked to capitalize on the Eagles turnovers, pushing the ball in transition, and running the offense when the fast break was not there.  At the half, the Rustlers led the Eagles 54-20.  The Eagles continued to struggle with the pressure applied by the Rustlers in the third quarter, while the Rustlers struggled to execute on the offensive end.  The Rustlers increased their lead to 70-26 after three quarters.  In the fourth quarter, the Eagles began to apply full-court pressure that left the Rustlers scattered.  With both teams pressuring, lots of turnovers were forced, leading to fast breaks and easy scoring opportunities.  The Eagles were down too much however and could not overtake the Rustlers.  Player of the Game for the Rustlers was #3 Terrell Murdaugh.  Player of the Game for the Eagles was #10 Mitchell Burnett.
