South Regional Golf Results - Final Round

Medicine Hat, AB - A beautiful weekend for golf saw the hometown Medicine Hat College Rattlers men's golf team cruise to victory in this weekend's ACAC Golf South Regional tournament.  The Rattlers' 2 round team score was a remarkable 4 over par 580.  Second place SAIT finished 37 strokes behind with a score of 617.  The Concordia Thunder finished third with a score of 716 and Portage College came fourth with a score of 786.

In the men's individual race, Medicine Hat's Chase Broderson, finished the tournament with a 6 under 138 which was just ahead of teammate Jayden Dudas, who finished second with a -4 140.  Brody Shields-Tyler from the SAIT Trojans finished third at -2 142 and shot the low round of the tournament with a 5 under 67 on Sunday.

In the women's team event, the SAIT Trojans took first place honours with a two-day team total of 348.  The Medicine Hat Rattlers snuck past Concordia for second with a two-day score of 405.  The Thunder grabbed third spot at 405 while Portage College came fourth with a score of 433.  

In the women's individual event, Kristine Dixon from the SAIT Trojans and Ella Gifford from the Concordia Thunder finished tied for first with matching two-day scores of 168.  Jenna Currie from SAIT (180) pulled ahead of Libby Bourassa from the hometown Rattlers (184) for third place.

Next up is the 2022 ACAC Golf Championship hosted by the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder starting on September 23.
