It is bittersweet to announce that Olds College Broncos Sports Information Officer Brendan Stasiewich has accepted a job offer from the PGA Tour and will be departing the Broncos after one season with the program.

According to a Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) media release, the 2017 PING CCAA Golf National Championships will be held October 17-20, 2017 at “The Royal Ashburn Golf Club (located in Whitby, Ontario) which opened in 1962 as an 18-hole facility, and has since developed into a world-class facility, ranked among the Top 50 public golf courses in Canada.”

For the first time in Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association history, the Golf National Championships are heading to Alberta. Medicine Hat College of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) has been approved to host the 2018 PING CCAA Golf National Championships. The bid was approved today in Abbotsford, BC, at the CCAA annual general meeting.
