ACAC Curling Winter Regional - Final Day
Edmonton, AB - Sunday brought the final draws of round-robin play, with teams looking to close out the weekend on a strong note across all divisions.
Men's Division
The men's division wrapped up with Draw 7 in the early afternoon. Red Deer Polytechnic edged Concordia 6–5 in one of the closest games of the weekend, while Lakeland earned a 9–4 win over Augustana. SAIT closed out the men's play with a decisive 7–0 shutout against NAIT, finishing the round robin with momentum.
Women's Division
Women's play began Sunday morning with draw 6. Concordia outlasted Augustana in a 10–7 contest, while NAIT narrowly defeated Portage College 7–6 in a tightly fought matchup. SAIT and Lakeland closed the draw with an 8–6 game.
The final women's draw of the weekend saw Concordia post a 7–0 shutout over NAIT, while SAIT followed with an 8–0 win against Portage College. Augustana closed the women's round-robin with a narrow 4–3 victory over Red Deer Polytechnic.
Mixed Division
Mixed play concluded Sunday with two final matchups. NAIT edged SAIT 5–3 in a close contest, while Lakeland closed the weekend with a dominant 12--2 win over Concordia, completing the final rotations of mixed round-robin.
As the regular-season competition comes to a close, attention now turns to the ACAC Championships. Hosted by Portage College, the three-day championship will take place January 30 to February 1, 2026, at the Lac La Biche Curling Club. The top four teams from each division will compete for an ACAC championship title and the opportunity to advance to the CCAA Championships later in the season.
