Fall Curling Regional Recap

November 23, 2025 (Airdrie, AB) - The 2025–26 ACAC Curling Fall Regional at the Airdrie Curling Club, hosted by SAIT, delivered three days of continuous competition across the men's, women's, and mixed divisions. Each program gained early-season experience on arena ice in a schedule that ensured complete round-robin exposure ahead of the winter campaign.

Friday, November 21 – Opening Day

Men's Division

The tournament kicked off with a full slate of men's action. CUE opened strong with matchups against RDP, LAKE, SAIT, NAIT, and UAA, setting the tone early. RDP faced every team in the first two draws, including CUE and LAKE, while SAIT met CUE, RDP, and LAKE in key early contests. NAIT and UAA rounded out the opening day with matchups across the board, giving all six men's sides valuable early-ice experience and a preview of what promised to be a balanced field.

Women's Division

The women's draw saw a packed Friday session, highlighted by LAKE's matches versus RDP, SAIT, NAIT, UAA, CUE, and PC. RDP matched up against LAKE, SAIT, NAIT, UAA, CUE, and PC as well, ensuring an immediate test of depth across the field. SAIT faced several back-to-back draws, while UAA and NAIT began working to find rhythm in their early games.

Mixed Division 

The mixed field opened play with CUE facing NAIT, LAKE, and SAIT. These early rounds established the competitive pattern for the weekend, as each team sought to find cohesion in the opening games.

Saturday, November 22 – Momentum Builds

Men's Division 

Saturday's matches saw the middle draws of the round robin. LAKE's crews faced CUE, RDP, SAIT, NAIT, and UAA, while SAIT took on CUE, RDP, LAKE, NAIT, and UAA. The pace intensified as teams settled into form, with NAIT and UAA preparing for decisive Sunday showdowns.

Women's Division 

Saturday featured another heavy set of games. SAIT met NAIT, UAA, CUE, and PC, while NAIT continued its grind through a full five-game draw day that included LAKE, RDP, SAIT, UAA, CUE, and PC. UAA also took on LAKE, RDP, SAIT, and NAIT, keeping the standings tight heading into the final day.

Mixed Division

NAIT commanded Saturday's mixed draw schedule, playing CUE, LAKE, and SAIT. With every team now deep into their second rotation of opponents, the stage was set for decisive final-day games.

Sunday, November 23 – Final Day and Closing Draws

Men's Division 

Sunday concluded with the last 10 matches of the round robin. NAIT took on CUE, RDP, LAKE, SAIT, and UAA, while UAA closed against CUE, RDP, LAKE, SAIT, and NAIT. The final draws provided opportunities for statement wins and late-weekend adjustments before teams turned toward playoff preparation.

Women's Division 

The women's competition wrapped with 14 matches on the final day, featuring every possible pairing that had not yet met. CUE's rink faced LAKE, RDP, SAIT, NAIT, UAA, and PC, while PC finished its own sweep of the field. Every program saw multiple sheets of play on closing day, emphasizing the endurance and depth required at the ACAC level.

Mixed Division 

The mixed draw concluded with LAKE's side meeting CUE, NAIT, and SAIT. After three days of steady play, every team had faced each opponent twice, completing the full weekend rotation.
