ACAC Curling Championships are Underway in Red Deer

Red Deer, AB – It was an exciting and memorable start to the 2025 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Championships hosted by Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP).

While all 12 teams began their journey toward earning ACAC gold, the student-athletes, coaches and athletics staff also had the opportunity to interact and build camaraderie at the Opening Ceremonies and the Championships Banquet held at Holiday Inn & Suites Red Deer South.

The three-day ACAC Curling Championships feature the top four teams in each division (Men's, Women's and Mixed) from regular season competition (Fall and Winter Regionals).

Here is a summary of the February 7 results:

Men's Division

  • SAIT – 7 vs NAIT – 6
  • RDP – 6 vs LAKE – 3

 

Women's Division

  • SAIT – 6 vs LAKE – 4
  • RDP – 10 vs CUE – 5

 

Mixed Curling Division

  • SAIT – 8 vs CUE - 10
  • RDP – 6 vs LAKE – 5

On Saturday, February 8, each team will play three games as they jockey for positions in the standings. The semi-finals, bronze and gold medal games will be played on Sunday, February 9.
