2023 ACAC Men's Badminton Player of the Year | Narayan Ramdhani
Edmonton, AB (February 18, 2023) - The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce that Narayan Ramdhani of The King’s University Eagles has been selected as the 2022-23 ACAC Men’s Player of the Year for Badminton.
Narayan’s commitment to badminton and his dedication to his studies have not gone unnoticed. He has been praised for his work ethic, his attention to detail, and his willingness to go above and beyond to improve his skills both on and off the court. Narayan will be graduating this year with a Bachelor of Commerce from The King’s University.
Narayan has a keen understanding of the game and is able to use his court IQ to make the right shots at the right time. This has made him a challenging opponent in the ACAC and has helped secure many victories for The King’s University badminton team. Narayan’s willingness to share his knowledge and experience with his teammates has been invaluable to the success of the Eagles, as has become an exceptional leader for the team.
In addition to his ACAC success, Narayan has represented his home country of Guyana in the Commonwealth Games and the South American Games achieving a strong finish in both tournaments. Narayan’s passion for badminton has driven him to pursue his dream of representing his country in the summer Olympics, and he is determined to achieve this goal. His numerous achievements have made him an inspiration to many, and his dedication and perseverance have set an example for other student-athletes to follow and strive to achieve their best.
Overall, Narayan’s achievements this season and throughout his career as a student-athlete are a testament to his dedication to the sport he loves so much. Narayan’s future looks bright, and he is sure to make a positive impact both in the world of sports and beyond.

This prestigious award will be recognized at the 2023 ACAC Badminton Championship hosted by Concordia University of Edmonton.
