Ramdhani & Kaur Win Gold in Men and Women's Singles

Olds, AB (March 6, 2022) - Day two of the 2022 ACAC Badminton Championships opened with the Men's & Women's Singles Draw.

The men's draw saw 15 entries with Narayan Ramdhani of the King's University Eagles finishing in first place with a pair of NAIT Ooks, Smit Patel and Jay Patel, taking home second and third place finishes respectively.

Men's Singles (MS):

  1. Narayan Ramdhani (TKU)
  2. Smit Patel (NAIT)
  3. Jay Patel (NAIT)
  4. Brandon Gendre (NAIT)

The women's draw saw 14 entries with two Concordia University Thunder student-athletes dueling it out in the finals as Jasleen Kaur's strong performance led to a finals victory and first place finish over 2021-22 ACAC Women's Badminton Player of the Year Johnna Rymes who took home second place. Olds College Broncos Priyanna Ramdhani rounded out the top three with a third place finish in the Women's Singles event.
