2026 ACAC Men's and Women's Futsal Players of the Year

Edmonton, AB (March 19, 2026) –

WOMEN'S FUTSAL PLAYER OF THE YEAR, JYLA ERANDIO: 

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Jyla Erandio of the NAIT Ooks has been selected as the 2026 ACAC Women’s Futsal Player of the Year.

Erandio delivered an outstanding season for the Ooks, emerging as one of the most dynamic offensive players in the conference. In six conference matches, the second-year athlete recorded nine goals and 18 points, consistently leading the attack and creating scoring opportunities for her team. Her impact was especially evident in key moments, as she notched two game-winning goals throughout the season.

A constant threat with the ball at her feet, Erandio’s technical skill and ability to change the game in an instant made her a standout performer in the ACAC. Her offensive production and creativity played a major role in the success of the NAIT Ooks this season.

“She never ceases to amaze us every time she gets on the ball,” said head coach Dhee Govender. “Her technical ability is so dynamic that she is capable of doing something special in an instant that leaves you speechless.”

Erandio is a second-year student from Edmonton, Alberta, and is enrolled in the Construction Engineering Technology program at NAIT. Her skill, composure, and playmaking ability have established her as one of the top futsal players in the conference.

This prestigious award will be recognized at the 2026 ACAC Futsal Championship hosted by Medicine Hat College  in Medicine Hat, Alberta.


MEN'S FUTSAL PLAYER OF THE YEAR, NOAH BILODEAU:

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Noah Bilodeau of the King’s University Men’s Futsal has been selected as the 2026 ACAC Male Futsal Athlete of the Year.

Noah Bilodeau entered the futsal season coming off an individually successful outdoor soccer season. Noah had a stellar year this year: In 6 regular season games, Noah tallied 9 goals overall, earning a 1.5 Goals per game average, and scoring in every game he played, especially big games. His contributions led the Eagles program to earn a Wildcard berth to the championships, bringing the team to it’s first championships since they won Silver at home in 2021-22. Noah proved himself in a very tight Northeast division that he is not just a solid outdoor player, but also a great futsal player as well. Noah really shines in his individual defending, and his prowess around goal, finishing with a calm and composed mindset.

What stands out about Noah is his overall positivity and love for his teammates. Never one to take himself too seriously, he enjoys the camaraderie, and never thinks of himself as more important than the program. He enables his teammates by challenging them to be their best, as well as being a approachable as a leader. In his final year at King’s, Noah has been able to do something no TKU men’s soccer athlete has done before in earning this award, and sets a high standard for others to follow.

A graduate of St. Francis Xavier High School in Edmonton, AB, Noah is currently finishing a Bachelor of Social Science in Sport and Rec Studies, successfully balancing the academic demands of his studies with the commitment required to compete at a high level in both soccer and futsal.

This prestigious award will be formally recognized at the 2026 ACAC Men’s Futsal Championship, hosted by Medicine Hat College in Medicine Hat, AB.
