The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce William Reininger of the Medicine Hat College Rattlers has been selected as the 2025-26 ACAC South Male Volleyball Rookie of the Year.

Reininger established himself as a primary offensive threat for the Rattlers throughout his first season in the ACAC. This multi-faceted contribution proved William Reininger as a solid player on both sides of the court and made his rookie season remarkable.

Trever Turner, Medicine Hat College Rattlers Men’s Volleyball Coach, said, “Will had an outstanding season with the Rattlers in his first year. He came into the program having played middle for his club team and we moved him to the outside as we felt he had the tools to be a dynamic player, and he didn’t disappoint. It was exciting to watch Will grow as a player this year with his work ethic and leadership qualities both on and off the court.”
