2026 ACAC Curling Players of the Year

FEMALE CURLING PLAYER OF THE YEAR, MADISON MILOT:
The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Madison Milot of the SAIT Trojans has been selected as the 2026 ACAC Women’s Curling Player of the Year.
Madison competes in the lead position, setting the tone for each end with precision and consistency. She has been a standout leader for her team throughout an extraordinary season. After going undefeated in the regular season, she helped guide her team to a bronze medal finish at the ACAC Championships, securing their well‑earned place at the CCAA Championships in Regina, Saskatchewan. Her consistency, competitive drive, and ability to perform under pressure have made her a cornerstone of the team’s success this year.
Beyond her on‑ice achievements, Madison is the epitome of a hard worker and an exceptional teammate. She brings energy and optimism to every practice, always lifting up her teammates and encouraging them to push for their personal best. Whether she’s sweeping with intensity, calling strategy with confidence, or celebrating small victories along the way, Madison leads with integrity and heart. Her dedication sets the standard for those around her, and her presence strengthens the team both athletically and culturally.
Madison’s commitment to excellence reflects not only her talent but her character. She represents what it means to be a student‑athlete—balancing performance, leadership, and an unwavering love for the sport. As she and her team prepare to take the national stage, Madison continues to demonstrate that success is built through resilience, teamwork, and the belief that anything is possible when you show up for each other. While being an incredible she is also maintaining honors status here at SAIT.

Madison is a 3rd year Curler from Bentley, Alberta. She’s enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration with a Financial Tech and Innovation Major and a Minor in Energy, Oil, and Gas
This prestigious award will be recognized at the 2026 ACAC Women’s Curling Championship hosted by Portage College in Lac La Biche, Alberta.
MALE CURLING PLAYER OF THE YEAR, NOLAN PETERS:
The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is proud to announce Nolan Peters of the NAIT Ooks has been named the 2026 ACAC Men’s Curling Player of the Year.
Peters has been a key contributor to the NAIT Ooks curling program throughout his collegiate career and played an integral role in the team’s most successful season to date. The third-year curler helped lead the Ooks to a strong start to the season, opening with a perfect 5–0 record at the first ACAC bonspiel. Despite facing challenges at the second bonspiel, the team finished the regular season with an impressive 8–2 record, securing first place in the division heading into the ACAC Championships.
At the ACAC Men’s Curling Championship, Peters continued his strong play as the Ooks defeated SAIT 8–3 to capture the ACAC banner. The victory capped off a standout season for Peters and the team and provided momentum as they prepare to represent the conference at the upcoming CCAA National Championships.
“Nolan may be the youngest on the team, but his maturity and calm presence make a big impact,” said head coach Karynn Flory-Simmons. “As lead, he works tirelessly to set up each end, brings quiet confidence in key moments, and is a consistently positive presence for his teammates.”
Peters is from Redwater, Alberta, and is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration program at NAIT. Now in his third year with the Ooks, he has been a consistent and dependable presence on the ice, earning recognition as one of the conference’s top athletes and a valuable member of the NAIT curling program.
