“Noah is a joy to coach. His hard work and dedication to his game these past couple of years came to fruition this year, and I am so excited that he had the performance that he did—he is more than deserving of this recognition. Beyond his personal skills and talents, Noah is an amazing leader who genuinely loves his teammates, trains with a smile on his face, and demonstrates that he cares more about team success than personal success. He is excited to be surrounded by a great group of guys, and understands more than many that his success is also dependent on the hard work of his fellow Eagles. We are excited to have Noah receive this prestigious award.” – Head Coach Todd Van Driel

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Aleksa Bijelic of the Medicine Hat College Rattlers (MHC) has been selected as the 2025 ACAC South Male Soccer Player of the Year.
As a true number nine player, Aleksa was dominant on the soccer pitch since the start of the season. His style of play matched perfectly with the Rattlers midfielders and defenders, where long drive balls were constantly sent his direction resulting in fast attack opportunities.
In his second game ever in the ACAC, Aleksa accomplished a hat trick playing in front of the home fans, making his name appear on the league leaderboard since the first weekend. With excellent positioning at the final third of the field, he capitalized with powerful shots from both outside and inside the box.
Terry Ballard, Medicine Hat College Rattlers Manager of Athletics and Recreation, shared that “Aleksa was recruited to come to Medicine Hat College and Rattlers men’s soccer from Regina and has been outstanding for the team all season. Aleksa is a difference maker on the men’s soccer team, as the excitement level rises as soon as the ball comes close to him – with expectations high that something great will happen. Aleksa works extremely hard to create offence, finishing second in the league with 11 goals and helping the Rattlers to a 9 win, 1 lose record for second place and a berth in the ACAC Men’s Soccer Championships. Aleksa has made a huge impact on the Rattlers men’s soccer program as a first-year student-athlete, and we all look forward to watching Aleksa develop and get even better.”
