2024-2025 ACAC Women's Hockey Top Scorer of The Year
Edmonton, AB (March 9, 2025) –
Women's Hockey Top-Scorer of the Year | HAILEY CAROTHERS | Lakeland Rustlers:
The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is proud to announce Hailey Carothers of the Lakeland College Rustlers as the ACAC Women’s Hockey Top Scorer for the 2024-2025 season.
Carothers dominated the league, setting a new career high with 26 goals and 37 points. Her goal total alone would have ranked third in overall points, trailing only NAIT’s Kelly Stanford (30) and teammate Addison Eurich (32).
She recorded multiple hat tricks, including a four-goal, four-assist performance against the Medicine Hat Rattlers—tying the ACAC single-game record for points, a mark she now shares with Eurich. The third-year forward also led the league in power-play goals with eight and matched the ACAC record for most power-play goals in a single game with three.
Despite missing two games in the first semester, Carothers continued to make history. She now ranks second all-time in ACAC career goals (66) and fourth in career points (100).
Athletic Director Alan Rogan said, "Hailey is a great student athlete who plays with heart and passion and once again had an incredible year on the ice. We are proud of her accomplishments on the ice but more so of her growth over the years as a student athlete."
Originally from Lac La Biche, Carothers is in her third year of the University Transfer program at Lakeland College. This is the second time she has been named ACAC Player of the Year and the third consecutive season she has led the league in scoring.
Carothers' achievement will be recognized at the 2025 ACAC Women’s Hockey Finals, hosted by Lakeland College in Lloydminster, Alberta.
