North Male Player of the Year | PETER JONES | NAIT Ooks:

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Peter Jones of the NAIT Ooks has been selected as the 2025 ACAC Men’s Futsal North Player of the Year.

Peter Jones has been an unstoppable force for the Ooks on the Futsal Court. His technical ability, versatility, and consistency on the court have made him one of the team’s most influential players. Whether scoring goals, setting up key plays, or anchoring the defense, Peter’s performances have been nothing short of exceptional. His presence has been crucial to the team’s success, elevating the level of play and inspiring his teammates to push their limits.

NAIT head coach Jeff Paulus praised Jones’s performance and leadership, stating: “I am starting to run out of accolades for Peter Jones. As a starting point, I should know the reality that we are so fortunate to have him. He is the dominant player in the ACAC both in soccer and futsal. He just seems to have a different drive level than any other player I have worked with. On the ball, he is incredibly strong and difficult to manage for any player in a 1v1 situation. Off the ball, Peter is like having an extra player on the pitch. He seems to be everywhere, and he tackles everything. I also want to thank my coaching peers for recognizing Peter yet again, as there were a few others very deserving of this award.”

Jones has had yet another remarkable year making him a standout in Men’s Futsal, the third-year from Edmonton, Alberta will undoubtedly continue to be a key player for the Ooks during the post season

This prestigious award will be recognized at the 2025 ACAC Men’s Futsal Championship hosted by Lakeland College in Lloydminster, Alberta.
