2025 ACAC Women's Basketball Players of The Year

North Female Player of the Year | ANEILIA AYOTTE | The King's Eagles:
The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Aneilia Ayotte of The King’s University has been selected as the 2024-2025 ACAC North Women's Basketball Player of the Year.
Aneilia Ayotte, a fourth-year forward, has been a key force behind The King’s University Eagles’ historic season. She played a pivotal role in leading the team to a first-place finish in the North Division with an impressive 18-2 record—the best in program history.
Averaging 15.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, Aneilia has consistently stepped up as a top performer. She has led her team in scoring and rebounding multiple times throughout the season and set a career-high with 28 points in a regular-season game. Her energy and on-court presence have made her a tough matchup, keeping her among the top five scorers in the league all season.
As team captain, Aneilia has embraced a larger leadership role, pushing her teammates to excel both on and off the court. With an outstanding season behind her, she has firmly etched her name into the TKU Eagles' record books!
This prestigious award will be recognized at the 2025 ACAC Women’s Basketball Championship hosted by the King's Eagles in Edmonton, AB from February 28 - March 2, 2025.

South Female Player of the Year | MAITLYNN MILLER | St. Mary's Lightning:
The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Maitlyn Miller of the St. Mary’s University Lightning has been selected as the 2024-2025 ACAC South Female Basketball Player of the Year.
Maitlynn Miller has been named the ACAC Player of the Year, capping off a dominant season in which she led the conference in steals and assists per game while ranking second in both scoring and rebounds per game. A true all-around force, she recorded two triple-doubles and 13 double-doubles in just 21 games, proving her ability to impact every aspect of the game. Her relentless energy, defensive tenacity, and playmaking ability made her the heart of the team and one of the most complete players in the conference.
Head Coach Abdell Farag praised Maitlynn’s leadership and work ethic, calling her the driving force behind the team’s defensive success. “She sets the tone for us every single day. She’s an elite defender, an exceptional playmaker, and a competitor who refuses to be outworked. Her resilience and passion elevate not only her own game but everyone around her,” said Farag.
After overcoming a devastating knee injury in high school, Maitlynn’s journey to this award is a testament to her dedication and perseverance. A fierce competitor who grew up in the gym, she has become a leader on and off the court, inspiring her teammates with her relentless drive. As the ACAC Player of the Year, she has proven to be one of the most dominant and well-rounded athletes in the league—one whose impact will be felt long after the season ends.
