Top ACAC Curling Teams Ready to Battle for Glory

Edmonton, AB (February 5, 2025) - The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Championships are set to take place, with teams across the conference vying for medals and banners after a competitive regular season.

In the Men’s Division, the SAIT Trojans (7-1) enter as the top seed, followed closely by the Red Deer Kings (6-2). The Lakeland Rustlers (4-4) and NAIT Ooks (3-5) round out the field, each looking to make a push for the podium. The Kings will aim to defend their 2024 ACAC Men’s Championship title on home ice.

The Women’s Division sees a tight race at the top, with the SAIT Trojans (8-2) and Red Deer Queens (8-2) tied for first place. The Concordia Thunder (7-3) sit just behind, with the Lakeland Rustlers (3-7) also in the mix. The Trojans, last year’s champions, will look to reclaim the banner, while other contenders are eager to challenge for the top spot.

In the Mixed Division, the SAIT Trojans (6-2) hold the top ranking, while the Red Deer Polytechnic Mixed team (5-3) sits second. The Lakeland Rustlers (4-4) and Concordia Thunder (4-4) remain close behind. The Rustlers, who captured last year’s Mixed title, will look to defend their championship against a strong field.

With all three divisions highly competitive, the stage is set for an exciting weekend of curling. Who will rise to the occasion and take home the 2025 ACAC Championship banners?

The action unfolds February 7-9 at the Red Deer Curling Pidherney Centre.
