2024 ACAC Golf Coach of The Year
Edmonton, AB (September 27, 2024) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is proud to announce that Larry Petryk of the Concordia Thunder has been named the 2024 ACAC Golf Coach of the Year.
This is the third time Petryk has won the ACAC Golf Coach of the Year award, with his last two coming in the 2019-20 and 2022-23 seasons. Larry has done an incredible job with Concordia Golf this year. Under his guidance, Concordia was able to capture back-to-back mixed team and women’s team championships.
“Larry’s recognition as Golf Coach of the Year is a well-deserved testament to his exceptional leadership and dedication to our athletes”, Concordia Athletic Director Nate MacLellan added. “His ability to inspire and develop each of our players has transformed our program into a force to be reckoned with. We are grateful for his commitment and proud to celebrate his achievements this season!”
Larry was honoured with the award at the 2024 ACAC Golf Championship hosted at the Alberta Springs Golf Resort in Red Deer, Alberta.
