2022-23 ACAC Men's Rookie of The Year

Edmonton, AB (September 28, 2022) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Regan Colberg has been selected as the 2021-22 ACAC Men’s Golf Rookie of the Year.

In his first season of play, Colberg showed that he will be someone to keep an eye on going forward as he fired some low rounds during ACAC play this fall. At the North Regional played on a very tough course in Lac la Biche, Alta., Colberg shocked many by tying for the low score of the tournament on the final day (74). After a tough South Regional, Colberg bounced back at the ACAC Championships, going 82-73-81 to place ninth and help the SAIT mixed team capture the gold medal.

“Regan Colberg was a bit of an unknown to us at the start of the season, but Coach Yanitski praised his work ethic and ability to post low scores,” said Trojans Athletics and Recreation Director, Wade Kolmel. “He proved he has the talent to compete at this level and we look forward to seeing what he can do for us going forward.”

Regan Colberg is a Business Administration student at SAIT.

This prestigious award was recognized at the 2022 ACAC Golf Championship hosted by Concordia University of Edmonton in Edmonton, Alberta.
