Connor Brady Honoured as 2021-22 Men's Soccer South Coach of the Year

(OCTOBER 28, 2021) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is proud to announce Connor Brady of SAIT has been named the ACAC South Division Men's Soccer Coach of the Year.

Brady led the SAIT Trojans to a 5-0-1 record this year to sit atop the ACAC's South Division standings in his third season at the helm. His win makes a bit of history, as he also won this award in the 2014-15 and 2016-17 seasons as head coach of the Keyano College Huskies, making him the only ACAC soccer coach (men's or women's) to be named top coach in both the South and North Divisions since the ACAC began awarding one for each in 2007-08.

Brady also becomes just the fourth coach to win the men's award three times, joining Grant Stevens (SAIT), Murray Orvis (MacEwan University), Steve Fullarton (Red Deer Polytechnic) and Jim Loughlin (Medicine Hat College).

"Connor is a very knowledgeable and passionate coach who routinely gets the best out of his players by instilling a desire to be part of something special," says SAIT's Director of Athletics, Wade Kolmel. "He works hard to put a winning product on the field, and he has done that throughout his entire ACAC career. The SAIT Trojans Athletics and Recreation Department congratulates him for winning this prestigious award."

About the ACAC: The ACAC is the governing body for intercollegiate athletics in Alberta. Its mission is to provide competitive collegiate sport experiences, promote academic achievement and be a leader of sport development in Canada.
