Jayden Dudas Honored as 2021 ACAC Male Golfer of the Year and Rookie of the Year

(OCTOBER 4, 2021) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Jayden Dudas of Medicine Hat College has been selected as the 2021 ACAC Male Golfer of the Year and Rookie of the Year.  Award sponsored by Alberta Golf.

Jayden had and outstanding rookie season for the Medicine Hat College (MHC) Rattlers golf team.  Competing in his first ACAC Golf Championship, Jayden finished the individual men's tournament in first place with a 3 under par score of 213.  After shooting an opening round 74, Jayden has a 3 under score of 69 in round 2 followed by a 2 under score of 70 in the third round.  Dudas grabbed the tournament lead in round 2 and would up finishing 3 strokes ahead of teammate Colby Friedrich.  Jayden, along with his teammates, also finished first in the ACAC Men's Team Championship and first in the ACAC mixed Team Championship.

"We are very happy Jayden chose MHC and the Rattlers to continue his competitive golf career" said Terry Ballard MHC Manager of Sport and Wellness.  "We are very pleased with his performance as both rookie of the year and player of the year and we are excited to see how he does at nationals.

Jayden, is a first year power engineering student at MHC from Estevan, Saskatchewan who attended Estevan Comprehensive School.
