ACAC Collegiate eSports Kick-Off Winner
Edmonton, AB, November 23, 2020 - The ACAC Collegiate eSport Kick-Off event held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 crowned the winner at the ACAC's first ever eSports exhibition event. Colin "Marf" DeMaere from Concordia University of Edmonton claimed the title of Alberta's first ever Collegiate eSports Champion in this 'test' event. Colin went undefeated in round robin pool play. Each pool consisted of 4 participants. The top finisher in each pool moved onto the top 8 playoff bracket. The playoff bracket consisted of a double elimination format and Marf used it to his advantage. Marf was set to win in the Grand Final but was knocked out by fellow student-gamer Kursed (Mike L), also of Concordia University of Edmonton. That being Marf's first lost, set up a winner take all Grand Final Reset match. Marf switched from playing Ganondorf, in the 1st Grand Final to Zelda in the rematch but lost his first game against Kursed's Wolf in 1:40. Marf had faith with Zelda and won the next two games of the best of 3 Grand Finals. Colin "Marf" DeMaere wins the AESA-ACAC championship belt and bragging rights back to Concordia. Grand Finals Video

NAIT vs CUE Crew Battle
In the 5 vs 5 team crew battle, NAIT defeated Concordia with a 7 stock advantage winning 15 - 8. Ikey for NAIT, playing Isabelle did the most damage nicknamed Thanos of NAIT. NAIT had two full players that didn't even get off the bench to compete due to the wins by Ikey's Isabelle. Crew Battle Video
