Lucy Lalach, SAIT Trojans, Womens Futsal

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Lucy Lalach delivered an outstanding performance in goal for the women’s futsal team this past Saturday, showcasing composure and resilience under sustained pressure. Facing a high volume of chances, Lalach stopped 22 of 24 shots on goal, consistently coming up with key saves to keep her team competitive throughout the match.

Her quick reflexes, strong positioning, and ability to read the play were on full display as she turned away multiple high‑quality scoring opportunities. Lalach’s command of the goal area and calm presence provided stability for the defensive unit, allowing the team to weather extended offensive pressure.

Lalach’s exceptional performance earned her Player of the Game recognition. She is a third‑year student‑athlete from Cranbrook, Alberta, and is currently taking the Medical Laboratory Assistant program.
