ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Tyler Brodt capped off an unforgettable fifth ACAC season with the NAIT Ooks by playing a key role in the men’s curling team’s dominant run to an ACAC Championship title and a berth at the CCAA Nationals.

The Ooks were firing on all cylinders throughout the regular season, going undefeated in the first bonspiel before posting a strong 3–2 record in the second. That consistency carried the team to an impressive 8–2 overall record heading into the ACAC Championships, where they elevated their play even further. The Ooks delivered a commanding championship performance, finishing on top and defeating the SAIT Trojans to punch their ticket to nationals in strong form.

A steady and experienced presence on the ice, Brodt’s leadership and execution were instrumental in the team’s success during his final collegiate season. His fifth year with the program showcased not only his skill, but also his commitment to excellence and team-first mentality.

Brodt is a fifth-year student-athlete from Sherwood Park, Alberta, and is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Technology in Management program at NAIT.
