ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jaylynn Twin posted the eight and ninth double-digit performances of her season in a road weekend sweep for the Keyano Huskies Women’s Basketball team against the Lakeland Rustlers.
Across 49 minutes of action in the two games, Twin collected 37 points, 17 rebounds, four steals, two assists, and two blocks.
“Jaylyn had a solid weekend with demanding performance in the paint,” Head Coach Dwayne Vigilance said. “By the numbers she was a dominant factor in all stat categories.”
In Friday’s 80-52 win, Twin collected another double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, adding in a pair of assists, steals, and blocks each. Saturday, in a 89-56 win, Twin had a season-high 22 points, adding seven rebounds and two steals.
The Huskies return to action January 23-24, taking on the Concordia Thunder in Edmonton, Alta. for a pair of games.
