Hailey Carothers, Lakeland Rustlers, Women's Hockey

Fresh off an exhibition tour in Europe, former Player of the Year Hailey Carothers has started 2025 on fire for the Lakeland Rustlers.

The third-year forward delivered one of the most impressive two-game performances of the season in ACAC women’s hockey, scoring five goals, including a hat trick, in back-to-back 5-2 victories over the defending champion NAIT Ooks. These wins propelled the Rustlers into first place, swapping spots with the Ooks.

Carothers and her teammates put on an offensive clinic, firing an incredible 76 shots across the two games. Hailey’s relentless puck pursuit and knack for creating scoring opportunities were on full display, fueling her offensive outburst.

She now leads the ACAC in goals (17) and points (24) through just 13 games, with nine games remaining in the regular season.

A third-year university transfer from Lac La Biche, Hailey Carothers continues to make her mark as one of the ACAC’s top players.
