Led by third-year captain Darby-Anne Swanson, both literally and figuratively, the team performed exceptionally well on the ice throughout the week.

In a thrilling win to claim the national title over the Niagara Knights, Swanson led her team in hit percentage based on total throws with 68%, even leading all player on the ice as the Vikings went on to steal one point in the 10th for the win.

Swanson averaged a hit percentage of 75.4% through nine games, leading her team in all but one and hitting a high of 84% in the team pivotal final round robin game over the Fanshawe Falcons, 7-5, that was a must win to snag a spot in the national semifinal.

To cap off an already exciting day covered in gold, Swanson was later named a CCAA First Team Tournament All-Star as lead.
