Johnna Rymes, Concordia Thunder, Women's Badminton

After winning the women's singles event at the ACAC Badminton Championships and being named the 2023 ACAC Women's Badminton Player of the Year, Rymes went to Nova Scotia to represent the ACAC at the 2023 CCAA Badminton Championships.

Going 4-1 in the group play, Rymes went into the women's singles semi-finals as the second seed. After winning her semi-final, Rymes lost the championship final which was her first loss of the season.

Not only is she leaving the tournament with a CCAA silver medal, she was also named a CCAA All-Canadian.

Rymes is from Devon, Alberta, and is in her third year of a Bachelor of Science degree.
