Moktar Said, SAIT Trojans, Cross-Country

SAIT's Moktar Said put a ribbon on a very successful first-year of post-secondary athletics with some success on both the team and individual level.

The Saskatoon, Sask., product captured the silver medal in the men's individual race at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association's (CCAA) Cross-Country Running National Championships hosted this past weekend by Medicine Hat College.

He crossed the finish line in a time of 25:38 to earn SAIT's first individual medal in the men's race since Matthew Travaglini won it all back in 2018. The celebration did not end there, as Said's performance also helped his SAIT men's team take home their first ever CCAA men's team championship banner.

Moktar Said is a Business Administration student at SAIT.
